Price – A car like BMW is not affordable by all and sundry. The X5 is a premium car loaded with great features and luxury, and hence, it is sold in India for a price of 1.55 crore rupees. Although it is highly expensive, the features and comfort offered by the car justifies the high price tag.
Engine Details –A 4.4 litre, TwinPower, Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine, which can generate a massive power of 575 Hp between 6000 to 6500 RPM along with a top torque of 750 Nm between 2200 to 5000 RPM powers the BMW X5. The power is transmitted to the wheels through an M-specific, 8-speed, Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic function. Additionally, BMWhas armed the car with several performance enhancing features such as cruise control with braking function and speed limiter, all-round inner-vented and perforated compound brake discs, and hill descent control to list a few.
Mileage – just like most of the super luxury cars, The BMW X5 is not known for a high mileage. However, the X5 offers a reasonably good mileage of 9 kmpl, which is considered good for a car as powerful and potent like the X5. Additionally, similar to all the BMW cars, the X5 also offers automatic start/stop function and brake energy regeneration system to ensure better mileage.
Key Features – Some of the notable features offered in the BMW X5 are – BMW Night Vision with dynamic light spot, full colour BMW Head-Up M display that projects driving information directly on the screen, M specific car key with sporty aluminium detailing and design elements and much more.
Other desirable features include Navigation system, Professional Park Assistant and multifunctional seats. A spacious car with enough legroom, the X5 finds tough competition from the Porsche Cayenne.
Conclusion – To sum up, it can be said that although the car is a bit pricey, the fact that it comes loaded with features and comfort fully justifies the price. However, it would have been more successful had the engine been a bit more frugal.
